A bold reimagining of interior design identity, Egg + Dart is a San Francisco–based studio led by Savannah Slotnick. With a strong creative point of view and an aversion to today’s grayscale minimalism, she came to us looking for a brand that would reflect her love of contrast, color, and character—and resonate with both design insiders and curious homeowners.
From the outset, it was clear the opportunity wasn’t just visual—it was strategic. The interior design space is saturated with neutral palettes, personal-name brands, and portfolio-heavy sites that often lack a clear point of view. Savannah wanted something more intentional—something that felt as distinctive as her work.

We began by analyzing the competitive landscape, identifying patterns in how studios positioned themselves visually and verbally. From that, we defined three core pillars to guide the brand: strategic creativity, client empowerment, and evolving spaces. These ideas shaped both the messaging and the visual system.
The name “Egg + Dart” emerged directly from that strategy—a reference to a classical architectural motif symbolizing contrast and rhythm. It introduced a sense of curiosity and depth, appealing to both design-savvy audiences and newcomers alike. We extended this concept into a flexible identity system, using structured typography, layered compositions, and a rich color palette to create a brand that feels expressive yet grounded.
The result is a brand that stands apart immediately. One that reflects Savannah’s personality, communicates her approach clearly, and gives her the confidence to grow the studio on her own terms.
